2011 Porsche Carerra GT Gemballa Mirage GT Matte Blue 1024x768 Rear viewGemballa is German tuning company located less than 20 km from the Porsche plant in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen.

One product line that has been associated with Gemballa has been the Mirage GT, which is based on the Porsche 980  Carrera GT. Over the years, Gemballa has released a number of Mirage models based on the Carrera GT, including the Carbon Edition, the Matte Edition, the Black Edition, and the Gold Edition. Recently, the German tuning company released the latest iteration of the super aggressive Mirage GT, christening it the “Matte Blue Edition”.

2011 Porsche Carerra GT Gemballa Mirage GT Matte Blue 1024x768 Front viewSimilar to its predecessors, the Mirage GT Matte Blue Edition is powered by Gemballa’s own V10 engine that produces 650 horsepower and 464 lb/ft of torque, up from the standard output of 612 horsepower and 435 lb/ft of torque the standard Carrera GT comes in. Those figures translate to a 0-62 mph time of 3.7 seconds (down from the stock version’s 3.9-second time) with a top speed of 208 mph, which in turn is up from the Carrera GT’s 205-mph top speed.

Aerodynamically, the Mirage GT Matte Blue Edition comes with the same aerodynamic kit as all the other special edition models, which is to say that we expect Gemballa’s rather over-the-top aerodynamic package on the front, side, and rear of the car to be highlighted on the Matte Blue Edition. Likewise, this version of the Mirage GT will also carry the same interior treatment, including the carbon seatblends, and the two-tone – in this case, its black and white – leather finish.

2011 White Porsche Panamera Turbo DMC tuning Front viewGerman Tuner DMC just announced its official performance and styling package for the Porsche Panamera. The set contains aerodynamic components and an engine tune-up. The exterior body parts stay loyal to the designer’s “Simple yet Dynamic” vision.

All components are manufactured from 100 percent pure carbon fiber. The front lip spoiler not only reduces the lift on the front axle, but also adds an aggressive look to the Panamera‘s appearance. The side grills showcase the company‘s skill at manufacturing carbon fiber, which is also found on the rear diffuser. It supports the driving stability by improving the air-flow and the looks make the Panamera stand out in the crowd.

On the engine side, DMC is now offering a package that improves engine power and torque. The stock 4.8 liter twin turbo engine with 500hp is increased to 580hp with the OEM integrated sports button. Engine torque is also increased from 516lb-ft to 605lb-ft. Additionally, in normal engine performance mode, power is increased to 550hp and 575lb-ft respectively.

2010 Grey Black/Guards Red Porsche 911 GT3 RSVarious reports are suggesting that Porsche is preparing to launch a limited edition of the new generation 911 GT3 RS. Although details are scarce at the moment, we did learn that the future Porsche 911 GT3 RS Limited Edition will have a 200 cc larger engine in comparison to the standard engine. Don’t you just love Porsche? When other car makers release a limited edition, it’s usually about a few badges, go-faster stripes and new rims. When Porsche does it, they just go for more “power!”.
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS Limited Edition is have a 4.0-liter engine developing 500 hp, which is an 50 horsepower over the base model. The regular 2010 911 GT3 RS is already developed with the race track in mind, so what could a performance limited edition offer in addition to that? Apparently, the limited edition 911 GT3 RS will have an even more extreme suspension setup, will be lighter and some speculate that it will get a double-clutch transmission. If this will be the case, we could also add bigger brakes, and possibly some aerodynamic enhancements for increased downforce.

2011 Electric Porsche Boxter E Front viewPorsche Boxster also experiences the way of a electric traction, which until a few years ago seemed almost a fiction, but today the cars with zero emissions are gaining in the sports segments and in the most famous brands.

While Porsche earlier announced the 918 RSR hybrid, the focus of that supercar concept is more of performance rather than practicality and efficiency. The Boxster E electric addresses this, with a sporty drive, yet long range.

The Porsche Boxster E has a 240-horsepower motor, and can go from 0 to 60 in 5.3 seconds. The EV is powered by a 29 kWh battery pack, which gives the car a 100-mile range before needing a recharge.

2011 Electric Porsche Boxter E Side viewPorsche is testing the Boxster E in Stuttgart, Germany, and plans to improve on the electric technology before commercial release. There are a total of three Boxster prototypes  and participating in the testing program for research on electric vehicles, built by the German Ministry of Transport.

The electric motor attaches to both front and rear axles for an all-wheel drive stability. Porsche says the car’s electronics are sourced from its parent company, Volkswagen.
